The Sacramento Shade tree program offers more than 25 trees of varying sizes through our partnership with Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). All of the available trees are deciduous, so they shed their leaves in the fall to allow the warm winter sun into your home.

Getting your shade trees is easy. Just follow these steps:
  1. Watch the video on planting and caring for your trees. Watch Video
  2. Write down the reservation code at the end.
  3. Sign up below to start the scheduling process for your appointment with a Community Forester to discuss the best location for your trees.
  4. Trees will be delivered with all the necessary supplies.
       
Register with one of our qualified real estate agents and automatically be entered into our monthly drawing.
